The Story

Why I Built Bloom Women’s Wellness

Bloom Women’s Wellness began as a quiet, persistent tug I couldn’t ignore. Before Bloom existed, I spent years sitting with families in the hardest chapters of their lives, learning how much strength it takes to keep showing up — and how often women are expected to carry everything without enough support.

Over time, I kept seeing the same gap: women and parents were navigating pregnancy, postpartum, identity shifts, trauma, anxiety, and the mental load of “keeping it all together,” and too many of them were doing it alone, or piecing care together from a dozen different places.

I didn’t want “good enough” support. I wanted a space that felt steady and safe the moment you walked in — where women could be cared for as whole people: mind, body, hormones, nervous system, relationships, and real life. So I opened Bloom. Not because it was the easiest path, but because it felt necessary.

Bloom started as a vision. It became a clinic. And now it’s a community.

What My Support Looks Like

What My Support Looks Like

Education & Training

I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) in Iowa with advanced training in women’s and perinatal mental health. I am certified through Postpartum Support International (PSI) to treat perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs) and proudly serve as a PSI Iowa board member. My clinical training includes child-parent psychotherapy (CPP), trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), and perinatal EMDR through the Institute for Creative Mindfulness with Dr. Mara Stein.

Who I Work With

I work with women navigating high-responsibility roles — leaders, entrepreneurs, caregivers, and professionals who are often holding everything together while quietly running on empty. My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and rooted in the belief that you are the expert of your own life.

Our work may include processing past or recent trauma; navigating identity shifts around motherhood or leadership; managing burnout, perfectionism, or guilt; and building healthier boundaries — both personally and professionally.

I am especially passionate about supporting entrepreneurs and founders as they navigate the emotional realities of building and leading a business: decision fatigue, isolation, imposter syndrome, and the constant pull between ambition and sustainability. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, confident, and aligned so you can lead your life and the people who depend on you from a place that feels intentional and true to who you are.

Outside the Office

A Little About Me

I’m a married mama of two kiddos, and if I’m not at the office, my husband and I are usually working on our side project: designing home decor and furniture. We’re big fans of traveling and attending local festivals and farmers’ markets.

When it comes to sports, we are a house divided (Iowa/ISU), but we come together to cheer on the Chicago Cubs!

As a founder, business owner, and mother, I understand firsthand the unique mental and emotional load carried by women who are building something — whether that’s a family, a career, a business, or all three at once. These lived experiences deeply shape my work and my passion for supporting women in healing, leadership, and sustainable growth.
