The Story
Why I Built Bloom Women’s Wellness
Bloom Women’s Wellness began as a quiet, persistent tug I couldn’t ignore. Before Bloom existed, I spent years sitting with families in the hardest chapters of their lives, learning how much strength it takes to keep showing up — and how often women are expected to carry everything without enough support.
Over time, I kept seeing the same gap: women and parents were navigating pregnancy, postpartum, identity shifts, trauma, anxiety, and the mental load of “keeping it all together,” and too many of them were doing it alone, or piecing care together from a dozen different places.
I didn’t want “good enough” support. I wanted a space that felt steady and safe the moment you walked in — where women could be cared for as whole people: mind, body, hormones, nervous system, relationships, and real life. So I opened Bloom. Not because it was the easiest path, but because it felt necessary.
Bloom started as a vision. It became a clinic. And now it’s a community.
What My Support Looks Like
What My Support Looks Like
Education & Training
I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) in Iowa with advanced training in women’s and perinatal mental health. I am certified through Postpartum Support International (PSI) to treat perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs) and proudly serve as a PSI Iowa board member. My clinical training includes child-parent psychotherapy (CPP), trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), and perinatal EMDR through the Institute for Creative Mindfulness with Dr. Mara Stein.
Who I Work With
I work with women navigating high-responsibility roles — leaders, entrepreneurs, caregivers, and professionals who are often holding everything together while quietly running on empty. My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and rooted in the belief that you are the expert of your own life.
Our work may include processing past or recent trauma; navigating identity shifts around motherhood or leadership; managing burnout, perfectionism, or guilt; and building healthier boundaries — both personally and professionally.
I am especially passionate about supporting entrepreneurs and founders as they navigate the emotional realities of building and leading a business: decision fatigue, isolation, imposter syndrome, and the constant pull between ambition and sustainability. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, confident, and aligned so you can lead your life and the people who depend on you from a place that feels intentional and true to who you are.
Outside the Office
A Little About Me
My favorite title and by far the most important one I’ll ever hold: is Mom. I’m a married mama to two amazing kiddos, and our family life is beautifully full, a little chaotic, and overflowing with sports, the dance mom life, snacks, and memories in the making.
When I’m not in the office supporting women, you’ll usually find me leaning into what I lovingly call my “grandma hobbies.” I find so much joy in canning seasonal favorites, dreaming up our next Disney adventure, spending a sunny day at the beach with a good drink in hand, or wandering through local farmers’ markets and festivals searching for fresh produce, handmade treasures, and something delicious to eat. Give me a cozy kitchen, a stack of Disney planning spreadsheets, a farmers’ market tote bag, and a sunset by the water, and I’m pretty much living my best life.
My husband and I are also passionate about our creative side project: designing home décor and furniture together. We love creating pieces that feel inviting, functional, and meaningful, and it’s become one of our favorite ways to connect, collaborate, and build something together outside of our careers and family life.
Travel is one of our family’s greatest loves. Whether we’re planning a magical Disney vacation, exploring a new destination, attending a hometown festival, or simply making memories on a weekend road trip, we believe experiences are one of the greatest gifts we can give our children and ourselves.
Sports season in our house can get interesting- we’re definitely a house divided when it comes to Iowa and ISU loyalties: but no matter where our college allegiances lie, we always unite as UNI fans.
As a founder, business owner, wife, and mother, I understand deeply the invisible mental and emotional load women carry every single day. We are often building many things at once: families, careers, businesses, relationships, homes, communities, and dreams. We are planners, nurturers, leaders, caregivers, visionaries, and often the ones holding it all together behind the scenes.
My own lived experiences have profoundly shaped who I am, how I show up in my work, and why I care so deeply about supporting women. I know what it feels like to pour into everyone else while trying to remember yourself. I know the balancing act, the overwhelm, the ambition, the joy, the guilt, and the deep desire to grow without losing yourself in the process.
That understanding fuels my passion for helping women heal, lead, and grow in ways that are sustainable, authentic, and aligned with the lives they truly want to create. I believe women deserve spaces where they can exhale, feel seen, be supported, and reconnect with themselves: not just as professionals or caregivers, but as whole people worthy of thriving in every season of life.
At the end of the day, I’m just a Midwest mama who loves canning, Disney planning, beautiful spaces, beach days, Cubs baseball, and helping women remember that they don’t have to choose between caring for others and caring for themselves. There is room for both, and there is room for them to flourish.
