Education & Experience

I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) in Iowa with advanced training in women’s and perinatal mental health. I am certified through Postpartum Support International (PSI) to treat perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs) and proudly serve as a PSI Iowa board member. My clinical training includes child-parent psychotherapy (CPP), trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), and perinatal eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) through the Institute for Creative Mindfulness with Dr. Mara Stein.

Working with Women & Families

Before founding Bloom Women’s Wellness, I worked in both nonprofit and private practice settings, supporting children, families, and eventually women and parents across all seasons of life. As a founder, business owner, and mother myself, I understand firsthand the unique mental and emotional load carried by women who are building something: whether that’s a family, a career, a business, or all three at once. These lived experiences deeply shape my work and my passion for supporting women in healing, leadership, and sustainable growth.

What My Support Looks Like

I work with women who are navigating high-responsibility roles, including leaders, entrepreneurs, caregivers, and professionals who are often holding everything together while quietly running on empty. My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and rooted in the belief that you are the expert of your own life. Therapy with me is not about fixing or pushing through, but about creating space to pause, reflect, and reconnect with yourself beneath the pressure and expectations.

Our work may include processing past or recent trauma; navigating identity shifts around motherhood or leadership; managing burnout, perfectionism, or guilt; and building healthier boundaries, both personally and professionally. I am especially passionate about supporting entrepreneurs and founders as they navigate the emotional realities of building and leading a business, including decision fatigue, isolation, imposter syndrome, and the constant pull between ambition and sustainability.

My goal is to help you feel more grounded, confident, and aligned so you can lead your life, your work, and the people who depend on you from a place that feels intentional, supported, and true to who you are.

Opening Bloom Women’s Wellness

Bloom Women’s Wellness began as a quiet, persistent tug I couldn’t ignore. Before Bloom existed, I spent years sitting with families in the hardest chapters of their lives, learning how much strength it takes to keep showing up, and how often women are expected to carry everything without enough support. Over time, I kept seeing the same gap: women and parents were navigating pregnancy, postpartum, identity shifts, trauma histories, anxiety, depression, relationship strain, and the mental load of “keeping it all together,” and too many of them were doing it alone, or piecing care together from a dozen different places.

I didn’t want “good enough” support. I wanted a space that felt steady and safe the moment you walked in. A place that held clinical excellence and respect for the human experience. A place where women could be cared for as whole people, mind, body, hormones, nervous system, relationships, and real life. So I opened Bloom. Not because it was the easiest path, but because it felt necessary.

Growing to Support the Community

Bloom has experienced a lot of growth over the years.. More providers, more specialties, more ways to wrap women in support through every season. But the heart of it hasn’t changed. We exist to make space for healing that’s honest, compassionate, and deeply personalized. We exist to bring relief and clarity when everything feels heavy. And we exist to remind women—especially the ones who lead, caretake, build businesses, manage households, and hold everyone else together—that they deserve to be held, too.

Bloom started as a vision. It became a clinic. And now it’s a community.

In My Free Time

I’m a married mama of two kiddos, and if I’m not at the office, my husband and I are usually working on our side project: designing home decor and furniture. We’re big fans of traveling and attending local festivals and farmers’ markets. When it comes to sports, we are a house divided (Iowa/ISU), but we come together to cheer on the Chicago Cubs!

Business Consulting for Mental Health Professionals

Opening and expanding a private practice can be overwhelming, to say the least. I’ve learned so much in opening and welcoming other providers to Bloom Women’s Wellness, so I love being able to help other mental health professionals find their path to success. There are a lot of moving parts, including the costs of running a business, how to work with insurance carriers, ensuring your policies are appropriate, and more. If you’d like to book a consultation, please email me and include “Business Consulting” in the subject line.

Pre-Consulting Inquiry Form

Please complete my business consulting inquiry form below to share more details that will help us prepare for the meeting.
